1. Introduce yourself, name, age, what do work as, what do you like to do during your free time?

My name is Terri Dickerson.  I am a 35 year old wife and mom of three wonderful boys.  I was a high school choir director for seven years but I quit to stay home with my boys and now I homeschool them.  I opened up an etsy shop almost three years ago on a whim.  I honestly didn't know if anyone would even buy anything I made.  To my surprise, it has kept me busier than I ever anticipated.  In my free time, I love reading, singing, and shopping.

2. Which verse you did? And why? If you could choose to design another verse what would it be (maybe for the 2nd edition for 100verses).

I was so thrilled to be a part of the 100verses project!  When I was asked, I just said that they could use whatever design they would like from my shop.  The one that was selected was from one of my favorite books of the Bible...James. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17.  This is a wonderful verse to help you though good times and bad times because God is in control over them all.  He allows everything to happen for a reason, for our good in order to make us into who He wants us to be.  He doesn't change like shifting shadows.

3. Tell us the process of doing the artwork for 100verses.
My design for this one was all done on the computer.  There wasn't any sketching on this one, just photoshop.

4. What inspires your design?
I get design inspiration from everywhere, from magazine ads, to color schemes on a card that I pass by in a store, billboards.  I love to look at fonts and design layouts even on a menu.  I feel a little nerdy that I analyze fonts and layouts, but I can't control myself.  The wording is inspired by of course Scripture, sermons, and song lyrics.

5. Where can we find you?

6. Other comments or message you would like to share to everyone?
I started this shop with hopes to glorify God in all that I do.  Deuteronomy 6:6-9 says, these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."  I'd like to use my shop to help add Scripture in a beautiful way on the "doorposts" or walls in homes as a daily reminder of God's divine presence.
My desire... "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'.  Erma Bombeck
